SJBBC Workshop
(Tuesday, January 22 7:30 PM)
At theJanuary workshop, we will be conducting grafting workshop to learn and practicegrafting using Japanese black pines. Seiji Shiba will provide scions (Nishiki and yatsubusa varieties). Bring appropriate black pine stocks. If not, you can purchase your stocks at theworkshop. Grafting is very useful inbonsai with plant genus in which it is difficult to force a budding on thetrunk or inner branch structure.

It’s timeto celebrate the New Year at the San Jose Betsuin Bonsai Club’s annual New YearParty. The party will be on February 8(Friday) at China Stix Restaurant, 2110 El Camino Real, Santa Clara. Dinner starts at 5:30 p.m. and cost is $16per person. Everyone is invited. Hope you can come. We always have a good time -- delicious food, singing, doorprizes, and fellowship with club members. Big Meeting

The nextBoard Meeting will be our big meeting of the Food Committee and also forplanning for the April Bonsai Show. Allmembers are encouraged to attend our board meeting at the Social Room, San JoseBetsuin and help out in the planning. We need assistance and cooperation from as many members as possible toplan for a good bonsai show.
